Description
English: Rare plan of Paris oriented with northeast at the top, published in Siena by Matteo Florimi.

An uncommon bird's-eye plan of Paris derived from the Lafreri school of map makers.

Includes two large coats of arms held by an angel, with a second map of France in the lower left corner. Compass rose and key locating 71 points of interest.

The map is drawn from Andre Thevet's Vray Pourtraict of 1568.
