[edit]DescriptionCR420 East - Christmas Cemetery Sign (43910399844).jpg |
Hide your children: This is the saddest sign of all time. Named after Fort Christmas, a Seminole War-era fort built on Christmas Day in the 1830s. Eventually, just called Christmas, Florida. It's a quiet little hamlet, but there's a few places where the Xmas decorations stay up all year long. The US post office gets a good bit of mail to be sent out with its own Christmas postal cancellation. As for the County Road 420 designation, do not waste your time looking for "420" shields. I have never seen any; presumably, too many were either stolen or wasn't worth spending county funds on replacements for a local route. |
