English: A hammered silver early-medieval penny of Aethelred II (AD 978 - 1016). The obverse has the diademed bust left and the reverse with the Last Small Cross type, refining the dates to AD 1009 - 1017. The coin was struck by Leofwine in London and is in fine condition with some tarnishing. North N777. |
