Daniel Hokanson, chief, National Guard Bureau, attends a remembrance ceremony in honor of the “Bedford Boys” of Company A, 116th Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, hosted by Army Maj. Gen. John M. Rhodes, commander, 29th Infantry Division, Virginia National Guard, on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, June 6, 2023. The Soldiers of Company A were part of the Allied invasion that attacked occupying German forces in Normandy on June 6, 1944.
