English: Bronze Yan (rice steamer)

When water is boiled in the lower section of this vessel, steam rises through the centre,and cooks the rice in the compartment above. These vessels were also buried with the dead, and suggest the sacrificial significance of rice as well as its importance to the people and their culture.
