English: A living mallard duck was discovered shot with two crossbow arrows at a public park in Colorado Springs. One of the arrows pierced the duck's trachea. Veterinarians made multiple efforts to save the duck, but unfortunately the poor duck died. While not all wildlife rescue attempts are successful, they are all worth the effort.
