Supply Support Activity Turn-In Clerk Spc.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Supply Support Activity Turn-In Clerk Spc. Jeffrey Gordon, assigned to the Regimental Support Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, took a visual aircraft recognition (VACR) test during a Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS) course offered by the Combined Arms Training Center (CATC) in Vilseck, Germany, July 17, 2024. Soldiers in the class had to correctly identify 50 different types of aircraft, including helicopters, fighter jets, cargo planes, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The VACR test is crucial for threat identification, operational safety, mission effectiveness, situational awareness, and maintaining combat readiness among soldiers. CATC coordinates or delivers individual training and professional education for U.S. Army Soldiers, the Department of the Army and host nation civilians, and multinational partners in classes ranging from MANPADS to Air Assault, Small Arms Maintenance, Medical, and hazardous materials driver.
