Description
Deutsch: Kreuzungsfreie Führung der Straßenbahnstrecke an der Kreuzung Jahnallee/Marschnerstraße Richtung Westen. Vor dem Umbau des Zentralstadions zum reinen Fußballstadion endete die recht unbedeutende Marschnerstraße an der Südfahrbahn der Marschnerstraße. Weil das Profifußballvolk ohne Straßen und Parkplätze nicht auskommt, wurde das Schwimmstadion beseitigt und durch einen Straßenzug mit Parkplätzen ersetzt. Vorher lagen die Straßenbahngleise hier mit Oberbau K in Schotter. Die eingedeckte Bauweise bei Umbauten nach 2000 weckt den Verdacht, dass man die Straßenbahn mittelfristig ganz einstellen und die besonderen Bahnkörper als Busspuren benutzen will. Der insbesondere verkehrstechnisch ausgesprochen rückwärtsgewandten Stadtverwaltung wäre es zuzutrauen, doch nach der Schließung der Strecke nach Markleeberg West im November 2015 scheinen die Pläne dieser Art nicht mehr verfolgt zu werden.
