Description
English: Comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) seen on the border of constellations Columba and Lepus. As of late December 2014, it is at magnitude 5.6 (approx) and may get brighter as it approaches perihelion on 14 February 2015. Photograph taken with a WO FLT 132 refractor and QSI583wsg camera with 0.8x reducer/flattener.
Italiano: Immagine della Cometa C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) ripresa in prossimità del confine tra le costellazioni della Colomba e della Lepre, il 27 dicembre 2014. Alla fine del mese di dicembre la cometa aveva una magnitudine pari a circa 5,6 ed era stato previsto che sarebbe diventata più brillante all'avvicinarsi del perielio, (che sarebbe stato raggiunto il 14 febbraio 2015). La fotografia è stata ottenuta con un telescopio refrattore WO FLT 132 (con apertura di 132 mm e lunghezza focale di 925 mm) e una fotocamera QSI583wsg con un fattore di riduzione pari di 0.8x.
