Notes de Beaumont has noted on the half title page: ‘[book purchased:] 3.88 £2’. Paper wrappers, dyed dark blue/ black. There is a pattern of ‘wheel and square’ motifs, with red and green dots throughout. The lower cover is detached from the text block. The upper cover has a printed label on the centre, with a decorative border and the letters: “/ La chaumiere/ indienne/ par/ SaintPierre./” There is a small ticket, bottom left, without text. . The spine has the same patterned paper as the covers. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark 12206aaa18 (Text in English, 1817)
