Printed on the upper glassine cover: “Cadogan Booklets No. 11”. De Beaumont has noted on the title page: ‘York Fair 9.88’. Glassine dust jacket over paper wrappers. The lower cover is not printed. The upper cover has lettering in black: “/ Cadogan Booklets No. 11/ The/ Deserted/ Village/ and/ other/ poems/ Oliver Goldsmith/” The left of the upper cover is a small illustration of a village, with a roadway, trees and gardens. The spine has black letters: “The Deserted Village” blocked along its length. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust.
