Notes de Beaumont has noted on the title page verso: “Royal National 10.2009 £22” Text sewn on two sawn-in cords. Bookseller’s ticket is pasted on the tail of the title page: “/ W. F. Watson/ Bookseller/ 57 Princes Street/ Edinburgh/” size: 7x16mm. Cream coloured paper wrappers. Both covers printed in red and in black, with an identical design. Straps on each corner, framing the central oval, in which are the title words: “/ Miss Edgeworth’s/ stories/ for children/ Simple Susan. Pat I/” “Six pence” is printed below the oval. At the head of the upper cover, left and right, within medallions: “No.” “22”. On the tail of the upper cover is the imprint: “Vizetelly Brothers & Co. Printers and Engravers, Fleet Street.” The spine is not lettered. This book acquired with the generous assistance of the British Library Collections Trust. Another copy (probably) of this work is at British Library shelf mark Ch800/124.
