C.F.Martin Guitar Factory Tour (DSC00782) Space Guitar With Nomex Bag. March 4-181994, serial #1 "To Boldly Go Where No Guitar Has Gone Before!" This miniature Backpacker was the first guitar in outer space, having flown 224 orbits around the earth with astronaut and guitar enthusiast Pierre Thuot on Columbia Shuttle mission STS-62. It needed to be this size to fit into Pierre's flight compartment.
