[edit]DescriptionC-130H North Carolina ANG drops water during California exercise 2008.jpg | A U.S. Air Force Lockheed C-130H Hercules (s/n 92-1454) from the 156th Airlift Squadron, 145th Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard, drops 11.350 litres of water over the Los Padres National Forest, California (USA), using Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) during the MAFFS 2008 annual certifying event. The annual training event included all aircrew, maintenance, support personnel directly supporting the MAFFS mission. There were four U.S. Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve units involved with MAFFS: 145th Airlift Wing, (Charlotte), 146th Airlift Wing (Channel Islands), 153rd Airlift Wing, (Wyoming) and the 302nd Airlift Wing (Colorado). |
