Description
English: In 1904, the United States Government finally granted Chief Hump of the Sioux the pension he had been owed, with $14,000 (in 1904 money) in arrears. Cartoonist E. A. Bushnell speculated that the sudden influx of wealth would lead to the Sioux all becoming alcoholics.
