Description
English: "Brown's Cove, Burned House, Albemarle County, Virginia," black and white photograph by the American photographer Frances Benjamin Johnston. 8 in. x 10 in. Photograph forms part of the collection of the Carnegie Survey of the Architecture of the South. Photographer Johnston bequeathed her photographic archive to the Library of Congress in perpetuity. There are no restrictions on publication. Image courtesy of the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.
