Description

This is a 165 ton crane car used as railroad maintenance-of-way (M.O.W.) equipment. It was built in 1915 by the Bucyrus Company and originally used at a shipyard. Later, it became a M.O.W. unit for Northern Pacific Railway. Afterward, it became Burlington Northern Railroad # D-161.

The crane is now part of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum collection in Duluth, Minnesota, USA.
