Description
English: Detail from the bureau plat (writing table) made c. 1715 by André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732) for Louis Henri, Duke of Bourbon. The bureau measures 198 x 93 cm.
Français : Détail du bureau plat réalisé vers 1715 par André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732) pour Louis-Henri de Bourbon, prince de Condé. Bâti en chêne et noyer, placage écaille, ébène, laiton, ornements en bronze doré représentant des têtes de femmes, dimensions 198 x 93 cm, conservé au château de Chantilly à partir de 1720, confisqué en 1793, attribué au musée de l'Histoire de France à Versailles en 1834, déposé par le château de Versailles au Musée Condé en 2012 et replacé dans le Grand Cabinet d'Angle du Château de Chantilly [1], Chantilly, France.
