Gidday Adam,
Just had a look at your site. Very interesting. By the way I very much doubt that MacArthur ever visited the bunker.
I have his office appointments for the full duration of the war. No entry that I have spotted for such a visit. In fact his visits to Sydney were very few indeed.
Go ahead and use the photos.
Could you change the link for my site at the bottom to the following:-

Attached is location of that other bunker which by my reckoning puts it under teh large substation which I assume belongs to TransGrid. From: Adam Cassar [2] Sent: 05 September 2007 17:12 To: pdunn@st.net.au Subject: Bankstown Bunker
Hi Would it be possible for me to use a few images of yours of the Bankstown bunker in the wikipedia article of the same name? I have a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bankstown_Bunker You may even want to have a look at the article itself which has quite a few un-sourced statements. If it was possible for me to use a few of you pics, I would be interested in the 1945 picture of the guy inside the bunker on the ladder and the more recent image of the burnt out bankstown bunker, showing the entire room. Also if you look closer at those two pics, if you take a closer look at the ceiling it both pictures, you can see something that confirms that this is or could be the same room. You could also email me at my home computer acdcadam@internode.on.net . Where I may receive the message sooner. Thanks Adam |
