For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Pirnaische Platz, Fußgängertunnel ADN-ZB P. Zimmermann 7.2.1980 Dresden: Zum 35. Jahrestag der Zerstörung Dresdens-Moderne Hochhäuser und ein Fußgängertunnel sind am Dresdner Verkehrsknotenpunkt Pirnaischer Platz entstanden. Auch dieser Teil der Elbestadt war nach dem schweren Bombenangriff am 13.-14. Februar 1945 total zerstört. Heute ist Dresden wieder eine blühende Stadt, in der Industrie, Wissenschaft und Künste gedeihen. (siehe 19 und 20 N) (Foto aus dem Jahre 1979)
