Gründung der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik am 7.10.1949.
Anläßlich der Gründung der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik am 7.10.1949 und der Wahl des Staatspräsidenten Wilhelm Pieck am 11.10.1949 durch die Provisorische Länderkammer und die Provisorische Volkskammer, fand in den Abendstunden des 11. Oktober 1949 eine Massenkundgebung auf dem August-Bebel-Platz in Berlin statt.
