For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Die Stimme Berlins wieder auf voller Lautstärke.

(Die neue Sendeanlage des Berliner Rundfunks in Königs Wusterhausen)
Die barbarische Sprengung der Sendeanlage des Berliner Rundfunks durch die französische Militärbehörde am 20. Dezember 1948 sollte die Stimme der Wahrheit zum Verstummen bringen. Doch in engster Zusammenarbeit der technischen Intelligenz mit der Arbeiterschaft konnte die Sendeanlage in einer Rekordzeit von 2 1/2 Monaten in Königs Wusterhausen neu errichtet werden. Seit dem 20.3.49 sendet der Berliner Rundfunk wieder mit voller Lautstärke.
