For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Junge - 23.6.1976 Potsdam: Hinter historischen Fassaden moderne Wohnungen Die ersten beiden Häuser des historischen Holländerviertels in Potsdam wurden vor einiger Zeit nach grundlegender Rekonstruktion an die neuen Mieter, kinderreiche Familien, übergeben. Hinter den detailgetreu restaurierten Fassaden entstanden moderne Wohnungen, die den gleichen Komfort wie Neubauwohnungen aufweisen. Die 134 Backsteinhäuser des Holländerviertels, das zwischen 1734 und 1742 unter Leitung des Amsterdamer Baumeisters Jan Boumann angelegt worden ist, soll ab 1980 komplett restauriert werden. Foto: Restauriertes Portal (Holz), in den Farben grün-weiß gehalten, die Fassade des Hauses ist Eisenoxydrat.
