For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB/ Häßler/ 27.6.1974/Bez. Dresden: Probestau an der Talsperre Bautzen begann. An der neuerrichteten Brauchwassertalsperre Bautzen begann zwei Wochen vor dem geplanten Termin der Probestau. Der in einem landschaftlich reizvollen Winkel gelegene künstliche See wird vor allem der Brauchwasserversorgung des Kraftwerkes Boxberg sowie dem Hochwasserschutz und der Mehrzwecknutzung für die Binnenschifferei, der Landwirtschaft und als Naherholungsgebiet dienen. Auf einer Fläche von etwa 500 Hektar werden insgesamt 40 Millionen Kubikmeter Wasser gestaut. |
