For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 28.8.71 Rostock: Lotsen und Schlepperbesatzungen geben sicheres Geleit. Von großer Reise kehrt der 10.000-Tonnen-Frachter "Berlin" der Deutschen Seereederei Rostock aus Kuba in seinen Heimathafen zurück. Gemeinsam mit einem anderen Schlepper geleitet der Bugsierschlepper "Darßer Ort" den Ozeanriesen sicher zu seinem Liegeplatz im Rostocker Überseehafen. Schiffe aus rund 80 Ländern sind bisher von den erfahrenen Männern der Bagger-, Bugsier- und Bergungsreederei Rostock sicher in die Häfen der DDR-Ostseemetropole, von Wismar, Stralsund und Saßnitz geleitet worden. Als wichtige Kooperationspartner der Seehäfen tragen die Lotsen und Schlepperbesatzungen dazu bei, daß die Werktätigen der Seeumschlagsplätze ihren ständig größer werdenden Aufgaben beim Verladen und Löschen von Export- und Importgütern voll gerecht werden können.
