For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Sturm-5.7.71-pe-Berlin: Neue Parkanlage - Eine grüne Oase besitzt die DDR-Hauptstadt seit einigen Wochen am Märkischen Museum. Der Reiz der Anlage besteht in der Verbindung von Gartenkunst und interessanten Fragmenten aus der Baukunst des alten Berlin. Der drei Meter hohe histroische Brunnen und der Stumpf der alten Mühle (unser Foto), die zu einer ehemaligen Befestigungsanlage gehörte, fügen sich in das Ensemble ebenso glücklich ein wie Blumen- und Rasenanlagen und frisch gestrichene Bänke. Auch an einen Kinderspielplatz haben die Gestalter des Köllnischen Parks gedacht.
