For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wartenbarg, Beregnungsanlage der LPG Zentralbild Brüggmann 22.7.70 Berlin: Genossenschaftsbauern sichern höhere Erträge durch Beregnung - Höhere Erträge zur Sicherung der Futtergrundlage erreichen die Genossenschaftsbauern Otto Böttcher, Manfred Knop und Paul Renk (vlnr) der LPG "1. Mai" Wartenbarg durch die kontinuierliche Beregnung der Felder. Fast 2000 m der rollenden Beregnunganlage geben den Gemüse- und Futteranbauflächen zusätzliche Feuchtigkeit, um das Wachstum der Pflanzen zu beschleunigen. Im vergangenen Jahr steigerten die Bauern den Hektarertrag der unberegneten Fläche eines Rübenfeldes von 280 Dezitonnen auf 400 Dezitonnen auf der beregneten Anbaufläche.
