For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Studenten im Arbeitseinsatz Zentralbild Sindermann 28.7.69-ch Bezirk Rostock: 1600 junge "Neulandfahrer", FDJ-ler und Studenten von der Wasserkante, helfen in ihren Ferien bei wichtigen Meliorationsvorhaben in der sozialistischen Landwirtschaft des Bezirks Rostock. In zwölf Lagern der Erholung und Arbeit wollen sie zur Verbesserung der Bodenfruchtbarkeit beitragen. Auch in der Conventer-Niederung nahe Heiligendamm, einem der größten Meliorationsobjekte des Küstenbezirks, helfen mehr als 50 Studenten der Sektion Technische Elektronik der Rostocker Universität unter Anleitung eines Studenten der Sektion Landtechnik, bei der Befestigung der Bewässerungsgräben.
