For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Spremberg Sel-Lo 24.2.69 Berlin: Walter Ulbricht empfing Präsidium des CDU-Hauptvorstandes. Am 20. Dezember 1968 empfing der Erste Sekretär des Zentralkomitees der Sozailistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands und Vorsitzende des Staatsrates der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik, Walter Ulbricht (Mitte), in Anwesenheit des Mitgliedes des Politbüros des ZK der SED Hermann Matern (rechts neben W. Ulbricht) und der Abteilungsleiterin im ZK der SED Irene Köhler (rechts neben H. Matern), die auf dem 12. Parteitag der Christlich-Demokratischen Union Deutschlands gewählten Mitglieder des Präsidiums des Hauptvorstandes der CDU im Amtssitz des Staatsrates. An dem Gespräch nahmen von Seiten der CDU tieil: Der Parteivorsitzende Gerald Götting (links neben W. Ulbricht), die stellvertretenden Parteivorsitzenden Max Sefrin (links neben G. Götting) und Dr. Heinrich Toeplitz (links neben M. Sefrin), sowie weitere Mitglieder des Präsidiums des CDU-Hauptvorstandes. Die Aussprache zwischen den führenden Vertretern der beiden Parteien verlief im Geiste der bewährten Freundschaft und der sich ständig vertiefenden Zusammenarbeit der im demokratischen Block und in der Nationalen Front des demokratischen Deutschland vereinten Parteien und Organisationen. |
