Helga Lindner Zentralbild Schaar Sche 17.8.1968 Leipzig: Deutsche Meisterschaften der DDR im Sportschwimmen-Meistertitel für Helga Lindner (16.8.) Am vierten Tag der Deutschen Schwimmsport-Meisterschaften folgte der dritte DDR-Rekord, geschwommen durch die Karl-Marx-Städterin Helga Lindner (SCK). Für die 200 Meter Delphin, vielleicht die kräftezehrendste Disziplin im Schwimmsport, benötigte sie 2:27,2 Minuten, ihren eigenen Rekord damit um 0,3 Sekunden unterbietend. In Europa nimmt sie damit hinter der Weltrekordlerin Ada Kok (Niederlande,2:21,0 Minuten) den zweiten Platz ein.
