For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Kassieck, Meliorationsarbeit durch FDJ Zentralbild Ritter 24.4.1968 Magdeburg: Jugend im Kampf um größere Fruchtbarkeit der Altmark Als erste von insgesamt 475 Jugendlichen aus LPG, Schulen und Industriebetrieben des Kreises Gardelegen, die in den Sommermonaten dieses Jahres Meliorationsarbeiten im Werte von 700000 Mark ausführen werden, haben Lehrlinge aus dem VEB Asbestzementwerke Magdeburg, Betriebsteil Gardelegen, mit der Arbeit in der LPG Kassieck begonnen. Die FDJ-ler des Kreises setzen damit bis September ihre bereits im Vorjahr begonnenen Aktion im Kampf um höhere Fruchtbarkeit der Altmark fort, in deren Ergebnis die Erträge in verschiedenen Genossenschaften erheblich steigen werden.
