For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schwerin, Wohnblock, Sport- und Kongresshalle Zentralbild Sturm St 4.9.1963 Schwerin, Mecklenburg In Schwerins Neustadt sind die Bauarbeiten abgeschlossen. Bis auf die restlichen Innenausbauten sowie eine Oberschule und ein Kindergarten, für die erst die Erschließugsarbeiten angefangen haben, ist die Neustadt fertig. Zum Tag der Volkswahlen soll die 2390. Wohnung 1958 übergeben werden, bis Jahresschluß sollen dann weitere 186 und der letzte Block im Jahr 1964. UBz: Links ein neuer Wohnblock mit ein- und eineinhalb-Zimmerwohnungen, im Hintergruhnd die neue Sport- und Kongresshalle, die mit einem kostenaufwand von 8,2 Millinen DM errichtet und 1962 ihrer Bestimmung übergeben wurde.
