For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Brüggmann 15.6.1962 Lesefreudige Berliner in der Parkbibliothek. Die Parkbücherei im Volkspark Berlin-Friedrichshain mit ihren 1 200 Bänden ist mit Beginn des sonnigen Wetters Ziel vieler lesefreudiger Bürger der Hauptstadt der DDR geworden. Mehr als 60 Leser - darunter viele Jugendliche und Kinder - kommen täglich und leihen sich mit einem guten Buch gleichzeitig einen Liege- oder Gartenklappstuhl aus.
