Auf dem 600 m langen "Rundkurs Herrenkrug" in Magdeburg wurde nach den Beispielen in Leipzig und anderen Städten der DDR nun auch in der Elbestadt das Kleinstwagenrennen veranstaltet. Fast 10.000 Zuschauer umsäumten am 13.5.62 die Piste aund erlebten spannende Kämpfe der insgesamt 78 Wagen mit rund 150 Fahrern.
