For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Magdeburg, 3. Arbeiterfestspiele, Festball Zentralbild Eckleben 16.6.1961 3. Arbeiterfestspiele des FDGB. "Fest der Neuerer" in Magdeburg. Ausklang des Tages der Neuerer, die am Vormittag des 13.6.1961 über die schnelle Einführung von Verbesserungsvorschlägen in die Produktion berieten, war am Abend ein großer Ball im Kristallpalast. Zusammen mit den Arbeitern aus der DDR feierten westdeutsche, sowjetische und ungarische Gäste. Für sie sangen und spielten u.a. das Berliner Tanzorchester Alo Koll und die westdeutsche Schlagersängerin Renee Franke. UBz: Prof. Wilhelm von der Technischen Hochschule Otto von Guericke spricht zu den Gästen.
