For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Karl-Marx-Stadt, Zentrum, Straßenbahn Zentralbild Gahlbeck 14.9.1960 Nl-Qu. Karl-Marx-Stadt erhält ein neues Gesicht. Mit dem Aufbau des Stadtzentrums von Karl-Marx-Stadt wurde planmässig in diesem Jahr begonnen. Bereits jetzt beginnt sich auf der "Strasse der Nationen" und auch an anderen Stellen das Bild der künftigen Magistrale der Stadt abzuzeichnen. UBz: Blick auf ein neues Wohnhaus mit Läden im Zentrum der Stadt, das in diesem Jahr fertiggestellt wurde.
