For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Freibad, Arnoldbad Zentralbild Weidauer äl-Ku 14.8.1960 Dresdener Arnoldbad stark besucht Die Wasserratten kommen in diesem Sommer nicht auf ihre Rechnung. Sobald jedoch die Quecksilbersäule einmal über 25 Grad klettert, die Sonne mal für einen Tag makellos vom blauen Himmel strahlt, sind die Bäder überfüllt und es scheint so, als holten die Badelustigen an einem Tage nach, was sie in Wochen versäumten. Das Arnoldbad in der Dresdener Innenstadt zählt dann 5-6000 Badegäste.
