For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Schmidt 30.5.1960 Me Chemiegroßbaustelle Leuna II Weitere Fortschritte machen die mächtigen Planierungsarbeiten auf der Großbaustelle im Chemieprogramm, dem Leuna-Werk II, Bez.Halle. Seit ca. 14 Tagen ist die neu errichtete zentrale Mischanlage für Betonstrassen in Betrieb. 150 Meter Betonstrasse (7 Meter Breite und 22 cm Höhe) sind bereits fertiggestellt. Die Straße, die jetzt für den gesamten Transport dient, ist zugleich eine der Hauptstrassen des Werkes. UBz: Mit Kippern wird das Zementgemisch an die Rüttelbohle gefahren,die das Zementgemisch glättet.
