For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Zühlsdorf We-Qu 11.9.1959 In Brandenburg begann die Stahlschlacht mit Rekorden 1882 Tonnen Stahl über den Plan hinaus haben die Stahlwerker des VEB Stahl- und Walzwerk Brandenburg in den ersten neun Septembertagen geschmolzen. Eine Rekordleistung erreichten sie am 7.9.59 mit einem Ergebnis von 556 Tonnen Stahl über den Tagesplan. Damit haben die Kollegen des Werkes einen Planvorsprung von insgesamt 22 928 Tonnen Stahl.
