For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Badrina, Studentin beim Arbeitseinsatz Zentralbild Schaar 26.7.1959 Erstes sozialistisches Studentenlager der Medizinischen Fakultät der Karl-Marx-Universität Leipzig. Drei Wochen lang verleben 800 Medizinstudentinnen und -studenten einen Teil ihrer Semesterferien im sozialistischen Studentenlager Badrina (Bezirk Leipzig). Neben Sport und Spiel lösten sie wirtschaftliche Augaben. Bei Meliorationsarbeiten im MTS-Bereich Badrina und Erntehilfe bei einigen LPG schafften die Studenten einen ökonomischen Nutzen von 85.000 DM. UBz: Der Medizinstudention Claudia Neumann macht die Arbeit sichtlich Spaß.
