For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Freiberg, Bergakademie, Hörsaal für Gesellschaftswissenschaft Zentralbild Schlegel 16.4.1956 Zi-Th. Zum VIII. Berg- und Hüttenmännischen Tag vom 24. bis 26.5.1956 in Freiberg. Bis jetzt stellte die Regierung für den Neubau der Bergakademie in Freiberg etwa 10 Mill. DM zur Verfügung. Im 2. Fünfjahrplan sind zur Erweiterung 50 Mill. eingeplant. Die Zahl der an der Bergakademie studierenden stieg von 250 im Jahre 1945 auf etwa 2000 im Jahre 1956. UBz: Der neue nach modernsten Gesichtspunkten erbaute Hörsaal für Gesellschaftswissenschaft, ein Kind des 1. Fünfjahrplanes, kostet 900.000 DM.
