For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Apolda, Vorführung des Schleppers "Maulwurf" Zentralbild TBD-Torka Me-Sta 5 Not.1.4.1954 MTS Apolda-Heusdorf führte Quadrat-Nestpflanzverfahren vor. An einen "Tag des sowjwtischen Neuerers" führten die Kollegen der MTS Apolda-Heusdorf, Bez, Erfurt, den Genossenschaftsbauern und werktätigen Einselbauern das Quadrat-Nestpflanzverfahern vor. Das Wesen dieses Verfahrens besteht darin, daß die Kartoffeln nicht wie bisher in einer Reihe einzeln, sondern im Quadrat zu je zwei bis drei Knollen in einem Nest angepflanzt werden. Diese sowjetische Neuerermethode bringt eine grosse Ertragssteigerung. UBz: :Der " Maulwurf" mit Vielfachgerät zieht die Quadrate für das Nestpflanzverfahern. Interessiert sehen die Bauern aus Ober- und Niederreissen der Arbeit des Traktoristen zu.
