Im Beisien von 400 Nachwuchsschriftstellern wurde am 6. und 7. März 1954 in Leipzig die erste Konferenz junger Autoren unserer Republik durchgeführt. Die Konferenz erarbeitete in den beiden Konferenztagen Vorschläge zur planmässigen wissenschaftlichen Förderung junger Autoren. Diese Vorschläge werden dem IV. deutschen Schriftstellerkongress zugeleitet werden.
