For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Oberhof, Wadeberg-Bobbahn, Erich Hansen, Oswald Schelter Zentralbild TBD-Schaar-Wlocka 29.1.1954 Bobmeisterschaften der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik Oberhof vom 27. bis 31.1.1954 Am 28.1.1954 wurde auf der Wadebergbobbahn die Meisterschaft im Zweier-Bob entschieden. Heiße Kämpfe gab es unter den Favoriten und jeder Bahnrekord, der aufgestellt wurde, konnte von dem nächsten Fahrer schon wieder gebrochen werden. Noch nie in der GEschichte der Wadeberg-Bobbahn in Oberhof sind die schweren Männer des Bobs so schnelle Zeiten gefahren wie an dem Tage der Meisterschaft 1954.
