For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Halle, Altenheim "Käthe Kollwitz" ADN-ZB Lehmann 5.5.89 Halle-Neustadt: Wahl. Vor 10 Jahren wurde das Feierabend- und Pflegeheim "Käthe Kollwitz" bezogen. In den Ein- und Zeibettzimmern leben 140 Bürger. Ein Friseursalon und die Verkaufsstelle für Waren des täglichen Bedarfs im Erdgeschoß ersparen den Älteren, die zumeist nicht mehr so gut zu Fuß sind, lange Wege und ermöglichen es ihnen, kleine Einkäufe selbst zu erledigen. Für die vielfältigen Leistungen zur sozialen, kulturellen und medizinischen Betreuung sind unabhängig von der Höhe der Rente für einen Pflegeplatz 120,-- Mark und für einen Feierabendplatz 105,-- Mark zu entrichten. Aus dem Staatshaushalt werden pro Platz jährlich 11.000,-- Mark aufgewandt. - siehe auch 1989-0505-15 u.16n -
