For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wismar, Güterwaggons, Kali-Verladeanlage "ADN-ZB Sindermann 5.6.85 Bez. Rostock: Wettbewerb. Im Seehafen Wismar werden über Transportbänder verschiedene Arten von Düngesalzen von den Lagerhallen zum Schiff transportiert. Ganzzielzüge aus den DDR-Kaligebieten bringen "das weiße Gold" ununterbrochen nach Wismar. Weit über 1, 8 Millionen Tonnen Güter schlugen die Wismarer Hafenarbeiter im zweitgrößten Seehandelsplatz der Republik in den ersten fünf Monaten dieses Jahres um. Durch die Anwendung moderner Umschlagtechnologien und durch die hohe Auslastung der im vergangenen Jahr in Betrieb genommenen leistungsfähigen Kaliverladeanlage erreichte das Hafenkollektiv einen Planvorsprung von bisher 70.000 Tonnen.
