For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Kabelwerk Oberspree, Lastkähne, Winter ADN-ZB Schindler 8.1.85 Berlin: Wetter- Blick vom Eisbrecher "Seelöwe" auf das Kabelwerk Oberspree. Die Kerneisstärke auf der Müggelspree beträgt im Durchschnitt 15 cm, bei zusammengefrorenen Schollen bis zu 23 cm. Der Eisbrecher sorgt für einen ungehinderten Transport für die Industriebetriebe und Heizkraftwerke der Hauptstadt.
