For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Chemnitz, Grundschule Zentralbild Seidel 16.8.1952 Schulneubau in Karl-Marx-Stadt Am 1. September 1952, dem Tag des Friedens, wird in der Stadtmitte von Karl-Marx-Stadt der erste im Fünfjahrplan für Karl-Marx-Stadt geplante Schulneubau eingeweiht. Die Grundsteinlegung zu dieser neuen Karl-Marx-Städter Grundschule erfolgte am 1. September 1951. UBz: Blick auf die Westseite des neuen Schulgebäudes.
