For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Sachsendorf, Erntefest, Redner der Nationalen Front Erntefest in Sachsendorf-Werder, Kreis Seelow, Brandenburg. Sachsendorf liegt im Oderbruch, wo besonders große, durch Krieg und Dammbruch verursachte Schäden zu überwinden sind. Durch Blitzbauten ist in der letzten Zeit schon ein merklicher Umschwung in der Lage der Umsiedler geschaffen worden. Das diesjährige Erntefest am 24. September 1950 wurde daher freudig und hoffnungsvoll begangen. UBz: Hermann Alisch von der Aufklärungsgruppe der Nationalen Front Frankfurt a.O. spricht über die bevorstehenden Volkswahlen, bei denen jeder Umsiedler dafür sorgen wird, daß er seine neue Heimat in Frieden weiter aufbauen kann.
