Die deutsche Industrie arbeitet zurzeit an gewaltigen Riesenwerken, welche vorwiegend für die deutsche Wirtschaft wie die des Auslandes, bestimmt sind. Das Jahr 1928 verspricht ein bahnbrechendes Jahr deutscher Technik zu werden. Keine Riesen-Schnecke, sondern das Gehäuse einer Voith'schen Spiralturbine für das Wasserkraftwerk Channon in Irland. Der Durchmesser des Gehäuses beträgt 5,4 m.
English: Giants of German technology! German industry is currently working on gigantic works, which are mainly intended for the German economy as well as that of other countries. The year 1928 promises to be a groundbreaking year for German technology. Not a giant snail, but the housing of a Voith spiral turbine for the Shannon hydroelectric power station in Ireland. The diameter of the case is 5.4 m.
